The Helena May will be 100 years old in 2016. The actual birthday is 12th September 2016 but we will be celebrating all year.
In the meantime we are getting our heritage building ready for its central role in the festivities. Although it is in reasonable good condition, you don’t get to be 100 without some issues and our building is no exception. So The Helena May Council has embarked on a programme of renovations and preservation to see the building into its next century. The Helena May has never been a wealthy establishment. Our main objective always has been to provide an affordable meeting place and residence, with a focus on women and girls. So we are calling for donations in order to fund the building works necessary to maintain the building.
If you would like to help us preserve our heritage building, we would be very grateful to receive your donation. Donations can be direct to The Helena May, 35 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.
