Open Day Open Day The Helena May invites the public to view our heritage building and facilities on this day. Regular tours will be conducted of the facilities and there will be exhibition, video and presentation areas showcasing our facilities, member activities and charity projects. Catering service is also available. Charity Bazaar An annual event that showcases the talents of The Helena May members and raises funds for the Charity of the Year. Annual Ball As the celebrated event of the year, members and guests attend this event for an evening of delicious food and fabulous wine, dancing the night away to band music. A raffle is held to raise money for the designated charity. Dinner Theatre From broadway music to murder mysteries, members can enjoy these entertaining shows with the good food The Helena May provides. Wine Dinner Themed or national wine dinner are organised from time to time during the year. Bridge Tea for Fundraising A Bridge Tea is usually organised twice a year to give members the opportunity to brush up their skills and compete against each other. Funds are raised through the sale of tickets for charity. For Children Christmas Story Time and Carol Singing A fun afternoon with stories, snacks and a special visit from Father Christmas makes this event the highlight of our younger members' holiday season. Teddy Bear's Picnic Children and their teddies are invited to a special afternoon picnic in the garden, with games, snacks and a parade. Easter Party Children make Easter bonnets, enjoy an Easter egg hunt and participate in other party games and activities at this event. Halloween Party Ghoulish fun and party games mark this celebration, complete with a costume parade and prizes for best costumes.
