Each Committee meets once a month. If you cannot commit regularly then we would love to have anyone interested in even helping with one-off events for any of the committees - from a day out with one of our charities to helping with decorations for a Ball or children’s parties for the membership. All assistance is very welcome and appreciated.

Activities
This committee likes to brainstorm ideas for activities that our members would enjoy and then bring the suggestions to fruition. If organising events as part of a team appeals to you or if you are interested in arranging an activity on your own, this committee will welcome you.

Building
They deal with the structure of The Helena May which includes all maintenance and repair, from damp to drainage and major construction and renovations. This also involves communication with Government Departments including the Antiquities & Monuments Office and Buildings Department. As well as committee members, they welcome any advisors who may wish to be involved.

Community Outreach
If you enjoy meeting people and conversation, they have a range of activities from helping with fun days out for lower income families (Cantonese speakers especially welcome); heritage tours of The Helena May for under-privileged primary school children; native English speakers helping the Girl Guides gain their English proficiency badges and organising visits and events for charity which are concentrated in helping the community of women and girls in Hong Kong. If you wish to help occasionally for some of our special events, we welcome you also.
