The Helena May Summer History Group
20 July, 2021 @ 2:15 pm – 4:15 pm
Meeting Date: Tuesday, 6th & 20th July, 3rd & 17th August
Time / Venue: 2:15pm to 4:15pm / Conference Room
Our History Group will have four sessions during the summer. We love history, especially the history of Hong Kong, from long ago up to current times. We have lively, informal discussions on a variety of topics. You can volunteer to lead a short discussion on a particular topic. You are equally welcome to just sit and listen, and learn from others. Join us!
In this Summer themed session, we will look at some of the following Hong Kong topics: Beaches, Public Swimming Pools, Cooling Devices (Ice, Electric Fans, Air Conditioning), Old Summer Villas and Residences, Summer Festivals, Weather and Safety (Typhoons and Shelters), and Summer Foods. Further information on these topics will be sent to all registered participants and reminders will be sent prior to each session.
Registration: All Helena May members are welcome. If you would like to attend one or all of these sessions, please email Patricia Hutton at email@example.com with your membership number. There is no obligation to attend all sessions.
