About

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Introduction

Community Outreach is deeply entwined in the ethos of The Helena May. Our longstanding tradition of charity events, fundraisers and volunteering activities is focused on projects that specifically benefit women and girls in need in Hong Kong.

Initiatives

Our Community based Projects aim to help and support women, youth, underprivileged and marginalised communities with identifiable needs. We provide opportunities for their personal growth and development, initiate, and support fundraisers, and offer our volunteering services to share joy and knowledge in the community.

Charity of the Year

Each year, The Helena May invites applications from local charities for nomination as the Club’s “Charity of the Year”. Charities are evaluated by the Council based on their viability and relevance to women. The selected “Charity of the Year” receives funding by way of funds raised by members through various fundraising activities.
