The Helena May Library has the well-deserved reputation as being one of the finest English-language libraries in Hong Kong. It has the period atmosphere of a genuine old-fashioned library with a modern and hassle-free system for members to borrow books. It has a comfortable reading corner overlooking the garden.

"The Library Committee works to ensure that our members continue to enjoy the largest, at over 25,000 English books, and best Club Library in Hong Kong. We work with the permanent librarian to man the desk, put together book lists for purchases every month, advise members when help is asked for, and the many other tasks needed to maintain both a historic and modern collection of books."

Our Books
The Library has over 25,000 English language books, some were put on the shelves in 1947 and others joined them just last week! Each month we add new books to our collection – fiction, non-fiction, young adult and children’s picture books – all carefully selected by our Library Committee.
Our Librarians
The friendly and knowledgeable librarians can assist members in finding books or suggest authors depending on their interests. Parents and grandparents are sure to find the perfect book to capture the interest of their little ones.
Our Activities
The Library also organises literary activities for members such as Author in the Library, Children’s Reading Programs, Family Book Club and the annual Children’s Christmas Party with stories and a visit from Santa!
